About Rachael Joy

After 10 years of producing, directing and writing non-fiction TV shows and documentaries (8 years in LA, 2 in DC), I've moved to San Francisco to give this crazy internet thing a try. I'm no Luddite but I'm not on Facebook either. I had to look up what "web 2.0" meant on Wikipedia. I have Mac in my blood (my first computer was a Apple II) but text messaging confuses me. I have also never written a blog. Everyone in LA has a screenplay. Everyone here has a blog. Ok, fine, I wanna play too.   I have a healthy skepticism to new technology but enough curiosity and enthusiasm to think it's all cool as hell. I'm excited about what Seesmic is doing and its potential. In TV you make a show and hope like heck an audience shows up. Seemsic is building the audience first and then providing content that involves them. Hello? That's brilliant!

So, I'm hosting and producing a show on Seesmic. Well, I guess it's a show. i mean, is it a show if it's on the internet and doesn't involve editing? i think so but i'm still wrapping my head around that.  Ok, so what's the show about? Don't know yet. News sorta and some other stuff. Maybe once we have a name for it, i'll know what it's about. here we go, yo!
